Last weekend I went to the movies to see the new film about Serge Gainsbourg life, "Gainsbourg - Vie Heroique", and I must confess I was pleasantly surprised.

The film is an elegant and fun mix of music, animation, french stuff and of course, beautiful ladies.

An amazing journey of a brilliant man.

This is my new illustration/digital collage (whatever you want to call it).I used images from an editorial called Rapunzel from Número Corea, photographed by Lina Scheynius and some other images from my personal archive. I wanted to create an organic felling mixed with some texture, in which the editorial was so rich. I am glad the way it turned out and I don't think I am done with that editorial yet! As you know, I love manipulating images on Photoshop and I am always looking for images that will inspire me.

A great example of this, is the always brilliant Prada lookbook, which is full of collages, altered images and some visual distortion (in a good way). The talented people at AMO/Rem Koolhaas atelier are the creative minds behind this project. Always love a good mix of fashion and architecture.

After seeing "An education", I started having a bit of a sixties mood. I am not a big sixties fan, (the seventies is my thing), but I wanted to explore a bit of the sixties music feeling and style. And who better than Marianne Faithfull herself? Ex-girlfriend of the biggest rock star ever (Mick Jagger) and a singer by her own right, Marianne had a sixties kind of style but with a rock twist, not just pop. Really want to rediscover her earliests albuns and let the "Mod" flow.

This is the other illustration I told you about on monday. This cover features Beth Ditto and was made only by using black pen and pen markers. The winner of this competition will be comissioned to do a piece of work for a future edition of Dazed and Confused, how cool is that? You simply just can't ignore this. I still can't believe it... I adored this man since I was a child. I grew up loving fashion as an art form because of him. I can't believe his gone. He was and will always be a reference to me and to everyone who takes fashion seriously, because he was a true creative spirit, a genius far ahead of his time. No one in his generation will ever compare to him or to his life's work and his talent will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Alexander, you will be missed.

I have never been much of a print kind of girl, I prefer solids by far, but I guess that just has to do with the fact that I can't seem to find prints I love. But in the new spring/summer collections (check out Rodarte and Thakoon), I have seen really beautiful prints that will probably make me think twice the next time I think about putting on my loyal white t-shirt.

All of these dresses were created within a worthy project that involved 22 leading fashion designers, who were asked to design a little black dress. These dresses will then be auctioned in September, with all the proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society and the Ligue nationale contre le cancer in France. It's good to know that designers get involved in such noble causes. I also love the way the dresses were photographed by talented Scheltens & Abbenes. Here are some of my favorites (in order of appearance): Azzaro, Donna Karan, Fendi, Garpard Yurkievich, Givenchy, Marios Schwab, Valentino and Vivienne Westwood.

I'm usully not fascinated with jewellery editorials, they tend to be really opulent and exaggerated, but this one by photographer Lina Scheynius for Exit F/W 2009, just seemed so relaxed and clean. The way she uses color or no color at all, makes this editorial so much more appealing to me. No make-up, no in-your-face rubys, just an intriguing girl wondering around in Chanel jewellery...
